Norwich has seen a rise in knife crime with rates doubling over the last 2 years. With an average of 10 incidents over 10,000 people in 2018, this statistic is worrying for both the police and the local community.

But what is actually being done locally to prevent these issues from escalating further? Following the stabbing and death of a close friend, 23-year-old Michael Brick took it upon himself to start a campaign and organised two concerts in Norwich to show his community that knives are not the way.

Both Michael and the Norfolk Constabulary are keen to work together in the future to inspire local young people with his story and to tackle the problem.

Nicoletta Bargiela went along to the gig to hear what Michael had to say.
