According to the charity ‘Wrap’ 1.9 million tonnes of food and drink are wasted by the food industry in the UK every year. Meanwhile the United Nations reports that around 8.4 million people from the UK are struggling to afford food. Now a group in Norwich is trying to address both those problems by collecting food that would otherwise be thrown out to make free meals for the community.
