Media Law & Public Affairs

Shaun is an experienced journalist and former public affairs correspondent and business editor at the Eastern Daily Press. After starting his career in local radio, he switched to newspapers, and for nearly a decade reported on public affairs at all levels from parish councils to interviewing prime ministers – breaking exclusive stories in both politics and business along the way. He was a key member of the EDP’s political team covering elections at a local, national and European level. He also worked on a number of investigations into a range of public sector organisations, before moving into business journalism, where in addition to leading the newspaper’s business coverage he produced and presented a business news programme for Mustard TV. Shaun is passionate about encouraging the next generation of journalists gain a foothold in the industry and has mentored a number of journalists who have gone on to successful careers in national newspapers and television. Shaun’s normal working days are Monday and Friday.
