The Hundred Draft 2023: Do we have more cricket fans?

The Bank of England has increased interest rates from 4% to 4.5% for the 11th time in a row.
It’s draft day in the Hundred, with the third season of Britain’s shortest format of cricket on the horizon. Big International names are expected to be snapped up by the franchises, with this one of the last opportunities for the teams to fill their rosters. Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and New Zealand’s Sophie Devine are just two of the international superstars available for selection, while England internationals Ben Duckett and Danni Wyatt are examples of the domestic players also in the draft. Introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), following the success of 20 over cricket, the new competition is aiming to bring new audiences to cricket. Josh explains what it’s all about. What are you going to do after your degree? Here's an idea! Come to the Open Day for the MA Broadcast and Digital Journalism course at UEA on Weds 3rd May 2-4pm. Scan the QR code to book your place.
