The Hundred Draft 2023: Do we have more cricket fans?

Would you like to create podcasts for the Norfolk and Norwich Festival? The organisers are looking for 10 young people to create recordings for a special website celebrating the history of the festival. What’s it like to study journalism at UEA? Natalia recently finished the MA in Broadcast and Digital journalism at the University of East Anglia. This is why she thinks UEA is home of the wonderful. It’s draft day in the Hundred, with the third season of Britain’s shortest format of cricket on the horizon. Big International names are expected to be snapped up by the franchises, with this one of the last opportunities for the teams to fill their rosters. Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and New Zealand’s Sophie Devine are just two of the international superstars available for selection, while England internationals Ben Duckett and Danni Wyatt are examples of the domestic players also in the draft. Introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), following the success of 20 over cricket, the new competition is aiming to bring new audiences to cricket. Josh explains what it’s all about.
