Mid Bedfordshire by-elections: ‘nowhere is off limits for Labour’

Labour’s Alistair Strathern has been elected as MP for Mid Bedfordshire.

The seat was held by Conservatives since 1931, and had a majority of 24,664.

He said this morning “nowhere is off limits for this Labour Party and tonight’s result proves it.”

The by-election was triggered by the resignation of former Conservative MP Nadine Dorries.
