13% Rise in Beach Litter at Gt. Yarmouth

Cigarette butts, dirty nappies, broken glass. All of these, and more, were found on Great Yarmouth’s beaches, during the Marine Conservation Society’s annual beach clean.

Plastic was the biggest issue, as it is in the rest of the UK. On average litter rose by 13% on beaches across the country since last year.
